Heat Stroke 02:45
One's morale is destined to drop When heat such as this never stops Submerged in this scorching pool bound by concrete socks People kill people smothered in irritance Babies and elderly die smothered in their helplessness Corporate structures magnify oppressive heat A torturous staple upholding ecological defeat An overwhelming sense of wanting to do nothing When it all results in the sweating out of your essence A heat stroke awaiting Always reminding you of death's presence

about

My long running solo project, Orgullo Primitivo and it's collaborative sidekick, Primitive Orgasm were musical ideas I started experimenting with as far back as 2008. I had grown tired of straightforward grindcore and punk and was a bit disillusioned with my role in the realm of immediate and raw music. I decided it was time to work with something more stripped down, in your face, and performative. This was long before my second phase of development in which Orgullo Primitivo went in a more driving industrial direction, around the end of 2012. Between 2008 and 2011 I started recording weird little experiments at home with a pitch shifter for my vocals and occasional yet very minimal electronics. During these early days I would do many an aggressive surprise performance at naive, acoustic open mic nights, jazz jam nights, and engage in many infiltrations of otherwise straghtforward hardcore punk/metal/grindcore shows. The reactions were always interesting and varied from complete annoyance, rejection, and backlash to utmost respect and awe. I wanted to compile a small yet interesting e.p. of demo tracks I recorded during my most experimental and nihilistic phase. Play loud and get fucking weird with yourself!
